Last year I did the same exact thing and I ended up getting 3 out of the 10 correct. I thought it would be fun to do the same thing again. Like I did last year, I am going to take some creative liberties and make some guesses that certain games come out this year.
10). Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3- This seems like a game that I will play with my close friend Manny and we’re going to have a blast playing it. We’re always looking for a great co-op experience and this may end up being one of the best of the year.
9). Kaze and the Wild Masks-This is one of those underrated titles that no one is talking about but I am. I love Donkey Kong Country and this game being in that vain has potential to be something special.
8). Far Cry New Dawn-Far Cry is one of my favorite franchises, even though Far Cry 5 was bit of a disappointment. I still enjoyed my time with the game and I’m sure I will feel about the same with this game. I don’t have high expectations with this game, I just think it will end up being a fun first-person shooter where I dick around for 20 hours.
7). Luigi’s Mansion 3-I love the weird Nintendo titles, I’m kind of sick of the standard Nintendo platformer (kind of like Yoshi or Kirby) but Luigi’s mansion is different. It’s fun and unique and that’ why I am excited for this game.
6). Wolfenstein: Youngblood- I have played Wolfenstein: The New Colossus and its a fantastic game. This is a sequel spin-off from that if this game plays as well as The New Colossus then this game will undoubtedly make my list.
5). In the Valley of Gods-Not a lot is known about this game, I know it looks like Firewatch but this time you’re in Egypt. If the game is similar to Firewatch then this game will absolutely be high on my list.
4). The Last of Us: Part 2-Its Naughty Dog, they make special games. I’m much more of an Uncharted guy and that’s why I don’t think it’s going to go any higher than 4th.
3). Doom: Eternal-Doom 2016 is the best First-Person shooter that has ever been made. Since 2016, I have replayed that game 3 times and it gets better every time I play it. If this game is iterative and is better than 2016, this will absolutely be a Game of the Year contender.
2). Gears 5-I love the Gears franchise and this game seems like The Coalition is taking some risks and trying something new. I have always loved the gameplay but the story has never been there for me, if they can nail both then this is going to be a special game for me.
1). Rage 2-As I mentioned earlier, I love Far Cryand it seems like Avalanche is going to out Far Cry, Far Cry this year. The game at its highest potential is going to be an open world game like Far Cry with Doom combat and Avalanche car combat. This game has high potential.
