Batman: Arkham Asylum

Game: Batman: Arkham Asylum

Year: 2009

System: PS4

What Kind of Adventure?

Third Person Action Adventure

Was it fun?

Its a good game and it was enjoyable.

Are there any similar games?

The combat system is a lot like Shadow of Mordor. The difference is, I found the combat system in Shadow of Mordor to be more satisfying.

What did you think of the story?

I wasn’t overly impressed with the story. There was nothing special about it, Joker is crazy. Tries to do some some crazy shit and Batman stops him.

Favorite Character?

I guess Batman is kind of cool in this game.

Favorite Boss?

In my opinion, the boss battles were a little underwhelming. I guess the final boss? Juice up Joker was kind of tough but it took me 2 tries.

Would you play it again?

No, I won’t be trying it again. At this point I’ll just move onto playing Arkham City.

Any Complaints?

Don’t get me wrong at all, the game is not bad. Its just nothing special and nothing stood out to me. Maybe if I played the game back in 2009, I would be saying something different.

How many hours did you play it?

I beat the game in 1 day and it probably took me about 9 hours to go through the whole thing.

How would you rate it and why?

7.8

Its a good game and enjoyable experience. If you’re playing the game for the first time in 2016 (or even later), the game mechanics are nothing special, the story is kind of a standard Joker story (but there isn’t a lot of new things you can do with Joker). The most memorable part of the game is the Scarecrow stages (or missions). They’re cool stealthy 2-D platform stages.
