Game: Rome Total War

Year: 2004

System: Steam (PC)

What kind of game is it?

Its a turn-base strategy game.

Was it fun?

Yes, I love this game. I can’t say enough good things about this game. I love history and I specifically love the Greco-Roman time period so this is a match made in heaven.

Are there any similar games?

The easiest comparison is other Total War games but there’s some similarity to the Civ series.

Would you play it again?

Yes, I really enjoy playing this game.

Any complaints?

Unfortunately its starts to get very hard at the end of the game. Basically in the game you keep capturing territory and cities and by end game, it feels like every turn there are 3 cities rebelling against you. So then you end up hemorrhaging money, making it harder to fight the uprisings.

How would you rate it and why?

Its such a fun game, if you’re a history nerd. You have to play the Total War games, they are spectacularly made and no matter what Civilization, you chose to play at the beginning as, you feel like you’re either the Romans, Greeks or Carthaginians.
